The Old Bell Hotel, 662 Main Street.

Bellhotel
The Bell Hotel reopened in June 2011 as the Bell Hotel Supportive Housing Complex, with "42 self-contained suites of affordable, permanent housing for people who have been homeless", funded by CentreVenture, the provincial & federal governments.

"The philosophy behind the project is "Housing First"; before a person's problems can be addressed, they first need a roof over their heads and a stable living situation."

Architects on Ice: "Winter Garden" art installation on the Forks River Trail.

Roy_and_noa

Roy Talmon and Noa Biran believe Winnipeg is beautiful. The architects from Tel Aviv, Israel were in Winnipeg last winter to take part in the River Trail warming huts competition at The Forks. They returned this year to build an art installation called "Winter Garden" on the trail. They're "planting" trees on the river.
